Premature rupture of membranes
In pregnancy, rupture of the amniotic membrane prior to the time labor was expected. This occurs in about 10% of patients. PROM is the single most common diagnosis leading to admission of the newborn to intensive care nursing.

A healthcare provider trained and certified or licensed by the state, who practices emergency assessment and care in the out-of-hospital setting.

The standardized form used by all emergency medical service agencies within an EMS system, to document patient care and assessments conducted in the field.
