Spinal curvature caused by various factors, including diseases like rickets or inflammation, muscle paralysis in the spine, chest deformities, or conditions affecting the hips or legs, can lead to structural scoliosis. In this condition, a set of vertebrae remains consistently misaligned, often accompanied by some degree of rotation. Organic and congenital scoliosis are inherently structural, and even functional scoliosis may progress to become structural over time.
