The most posterior lobe of the cerebral hemisphere.


One of the five lobes of each cerebral hemisphere.


Most distal section of the brain; involved in vision.


The posterior region of a cerebral hemisphere that is shaped like a three-sided pyramid.


One of the pair of brain regions situated beneath the occipital bone towards the rear of the brain is referred to as the occipital lobe. This lobe is primarily responsible for visual processing.
