A set of disorders marked by irregularities in the skin, nerves, and/or central nervous system.
Among the neurocutaneous disorders, neurofibromatosis is the most recognized. It features brown patches on the skin and multiple fibrous nodules on both the skin and nerves. Tuberous sclerosis is another instance, marked by small, skin-toned bumps on the cheeks and nose, cognitive impairment, and epilepsy.
