Description given to a well-covered individual with well-developed muscles.


Body type characterized by a solid muscular build.


In somatotyping, a mesoderm-muscle-structural-dominant person. The Incredible Hulk syndrome.


A somatotype represented by the broad-shouldered, well-muscled person, mesomorphy.


Person with well-developed skeletal and muscular structure, intermediate between the ectomorph and endomorph.


A body build characterized by predominance of tissues derived from the mesoderm (i.e., muscle, bone, and connective tissues); a well-proportioned individual.


The proportional abundance of muscle, bone, and connective tissue is fundamentally established from the mesodermal layer during embryonic development.


A designation applied to a person whose physique is distinguished by a square-shaped head, a sizeable heart, a wide and muscular chest and shoulders, robust arms and legs, and minimal body fat. It’s important to note that this term lacks clinical relevance.
