Henna

Spiny shrub or small tree that has fragrant white or rose flowers and leaves that produce a reddish-orange dye. Henna also known as Lawsonia inermis


A flowering plant used to dye hair or paint designs on skin. Neutral and black henna are derived from other plants, but have similar applications. Available at health food stores.


Utilized since earliest times to tint hair, fingernails and skin, orange-brown.


Mehndi, a natural dye with a reddish-brown hue derived from the leaves of the henna plant. It is utilized for purposes such as hair coloring and creating temporary tattoos.
