This is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder that affects both males and females. Its main characteristic is a reduced ability to dissipate body heat through sweating. People with this condition, from birth, suffer from anhidrosis, which means they are unable to sweat properly. They possess only a very limited number of sweat glands, and those present are unusually enlarged. As a result of this defect, there are disturbances in their body temperature regulation. Additionally, they may experience malformations in the skin and nail tissues. Moreover, in their 30s or 40s, those affected by this condition also develop deafness due to inner ear problems.
