Heart catheterization is a diagnostic procedure utilized to visualize the chambers and valves of the heart. It involves the insertion of a tube, known as a catheter, typically through an artery in the groin. Subsequently, a contrast dye is injected into the artery via the catheter. The dye flows into the heart, allowing the creation of an image of the heart on x-ray film. The resulting image is captured through photography and stored for subsequent analysis.
