HDL-C (HDL Cholesterol)

High density lipoprotein-cholesterol, also called “good cholesterol”.


Roughly one-third or one-fourth of total cholesterol is composed of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL). Elevated levels of HDL, often referred to as “good” cholesterol, are associated with a reduced risk of developing atherosclerosis.


Approximately one-third or one-fourth of the total cholesterol present is in the form of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL). HDL, commonly referred to as “good” cholesterol, plays a beneficial role in reducing the risk of atherosclerosis.
