Ginkgo biloba, a deciduous tree indigenous to China, bears distinctive fan-shaped leaves and succulent seeds containing edible kernels. Derived from this tree, an herb known as ginkgo extract is sometimes advocated by alternative practitioners for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.


Ginkgo biloba, an extract from the maidenhair tree, is believed to have properties beneficial for treating circulatory disorders, reduced brain circulation, senility, depression, and premenstrual syndrome. However, it’s essential to note that preparations containing ginkgo may have potential side effects, such as muscle spasms and cramps.
