A neurological disorder caused by harm to the tissue, typically due to a stroke or a tumor, located in the center of the brainstem. This damage leads to numbness and paralysis on one side of the face along with compromised eye movement. It also damages the motor nerve fibers on the opposite side of the body, resulting in paralysis or weakness.
