Foil-baked salmon

Begin by lining a baking sheet with a generous piece of foil, ensuring it is larger than the surface area. Apply a delicate layer of butter onto the foil. Carefully place the prepared salmon onto the foil-lined sheet. Proceed by dotting each steak with small portions of butter, and generously season with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of fresh lemon juice. Gently fold the foil, creating a loose package around the salmon. Allow the fish to cook in a preheated oven set to 350°F for a duration of 20 to 40 minutes, adjusting the cooking time based on the thickness of the fish. Upon completion, savor the salmon alongside a delightful accompaniment such as maitre d’hotel butter, hollandaise sauce, or a garnish composed of diced cucumber, sliced lemon, and sprigs of parsley. If the intention is to serve the salmon cold, it is advisable to leave it wrapped in the foil until it cools to perfection.
