Fahrenheit scale

The temperature scale in which the freezing point of water is 32° and the boiling point of water at sea level is 212°. Zero indicates the lowest temperature that can be obtained with a mixture of ice and salt, centigrade scale.

A scale used to measure temperature. In the Fahrenheit scale, the point at which water freezes is 32°, while the point at which it boils is 212°. The Fahrenheit scale is named after its inventor, a German physicist, and is used mainly in the United States.

A temperature scale with the freezing point of water at 32° and the boiling point at 212°, indicated by F.

This is a temperature scale where ice melts at 32º and water boils at 212º. In this scale, the standard body temperature is 98.6ºF, which corresponds to 37º in the Celsius (C) scale. To change a Fahrenheit temperature to Celsius, deduct 32 from it and then multiply the result by 0.56 (or 5/9). If you want to convert a Celsius temperature to Fahrenheit, you should multiply it by 1.8 (or 9/5) before adding 32. Please note, this is written in English.
