The act of letting saliva flow out of the mouth.
Unintentional release of urine from the bladder, or accidental drooling from the mouth are common scenarios. While it’s normal for babies to drool, in adults, this can be due to dentures that don’t fit properly. Additionally, it can result from conditions affecting the nervous system such as facial paralysis, dementia, or most frequently, Parkinson’s disease. Obstructions in the mouth interfering with the process of swallowing can also lead to unintentional saliva dribbling.
