An inherited feature that manifests in a hybrid organism (one with both a dominant and a recessive gene) where only the dominant gene is expressed, suppressing the recessive one. For instance, brown eyes are dominant over blue eyes. This dominant trait will also be present in an individual with two dominant genes for that particular characteristic.
