Dacryoadenitis

Inflammation of the tear-producing gland. It usually occurs only in people who are in generally poor health.


Inflammation of a lacrimal gland. It is rare, seen as a complication in epidemic parotitis (mumps involving the lacrimal gland) and present in Mikulicz’s disease. It may be acute or chronic.


Discharge of mucus from a lacrimal sac and chronic inflammation of the sac.
