Crappie

A certain species of fish, which is prevalent in the region surrounding the Mississippi River, is not commonly captured for commercial purposes due to the regulations imposed by the State. This species of fish is typically not very large, with a maximum length of one foot and a weight of one pound, yet it is considered an exceptional fish to be cooked in a pan. It is worth noting that another subspecies of this fish can also be found in the New England area.
