Necrosis occurring especially in infarcts. Coagulation occurs in the necrotic area, converting it into a homogeneous mass and depriving the organ or tissue of blood.
A form of necrosis distinguished by cell death where the cell outlines are retained. This is commonly observed in cases of tissue infarction, which results from the deprivation of blood supply. It is also known as embolic necrosis or ischemic necrosis.
