Clinical diagnosis

Identification of a disease by history, physical examination, laboratory studies, and radiological studies.

A clinical diagnosis refers to a medical procedure where a doctor identifies the nature of a disorder based on an individual’s description of symptoms and a physical examination. Unlike a pathological diagnosis, which relies on the analysis of tissue samples obtained from the body, a clinical diagnosis is made solely through evaluating symptoms and conducting physical assessments.

A diagnosis based solely on the identification of symptoms.
