Chymopapain

An enzyme derived from papaya, used in medicine and to tenderize meat.


An enzyme obtained from the paw-paw, which is being used in the treatment of prolapsed intervertebral disc. When injected into the disc it dissolves the cartilage tissue.


A proteolytic enzyme derived from the milky white sap of the papaya fruit, utilized for medicinal applications in the process of chemonucleolysis.
