The credential indicates that the candidate is “skilled beyond the entry-level in analyzing and sequencing codes in accordance with the ICD-9-CM and CPT classification systems. The individual is also skilled in reporting diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement purposes, medical research, and other health information uses”.
