Venous lake
A small subcutaneous bleb filled with blood. It may be present on the lips, mouth, or ears.

Vertebrobasilar ischemia
Inadequate blood flow through the arteries that supply nutrients and oxygen to the structures at the base of the brain (especially the brain stem and cerebellum). This can cause difficulties with balance, swallowing, or vision and may be a source of vertigo in some individuals, especially older adults or those with atherosclerosis.

A failure of the valves of the veins to function, which interferes with venous return to the heart, and may produce edema.

Failure of the palatal sphincter to close, with inadequate separation of the nasopharynx from the oropharynx. This may result in snoring, nasal speech, or inhalation of food into the nasal passages.
