  • Ping pong bone

    A thin shell of osseous tissue covering a giant-cell sarcoma in a bone.  

  • Periosteal bone

    Bone formed by osteoblasts of the periosteum.  

  • Perichondrial bone

    Bone formed beneath the perichondrium.  

  • Polar covalent bond

    A covalent bond in which one atom attracts the shared pair of electrons more strongly than does the other atom, and thus has a slightly negative charge. The atom with the weaker attraction has a slightly positive charge.

    Use of a directional, high-speed, rotating cutter attached to a vacuum source to gather multiple contiguous core samples of breast tissue through a single point of insertion. This minimally invasive procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, using stereotactic imaging or real-time ultrasonography.
