  • Enthesitis

    Inflammation at the site of attachment of bone to a tendon, ligament, or joint capsule. It is usually caused by trauma to the area. Any disease that affects the attachment of tendons or ligaments to bone. Enthesopathies can result from inflammation associated with conditions including Reiter’s syndrome, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and rheumatoid arthritis.  

  • Enthesis

  • Enterostasis

    Cessation of or delay in the passage of food through the intestine; an old term for ileus.

    A condition in which bacteria in the intestines produce intestinal sepsis.  

  • Enteroplexy

    Surgical union of divided parts of the intestine.  

  • Enteropexy

    Fixation of the intestine to the abdominal wall or to another portion of the intestine. Surgical attachment of a segment of the intestine to the abdominal wall to prevent it from sagging.
