  • Eye bandage

    A bandage for retaining dressings. The simple roller bandage for one eye or the monocle or crossed bandage. The binocular or crossed bandage for both eyes is 2 in X 6 yd (5.1 cm X 5.49 m).  

  • Ear bandage

    T bandage for the ear. A piece is sewn across the right angle of the T bandage.  

  • Autologous endometrial coculture

    An assisted reproduction technique in which a zygote created by in vitro fertilization is incubated in endometrial tissue harvested from an infertile woman’s uterus through the pre-embryonic period before transfer.  

  • Evoked response audiometry

    Use of computer-aided technique to average the brain’s response to latency of auditory stimuli. Auditory brainstem evoked response (ABER) is one form of this type of audiometry. This method is used to test the hearing of individuals, especially children, who cannot be tested in the usual manner.  

  • Experimental arthritis

    Any form of arthritis induced in laboratory animals, used to study pathophysiology, or to foster improvements in diagnosis or treatment of the disease.

    A large artery in which elastic connective tissue is predominant in the middle layer (tunica media). Elastic arteries include the aorta and its larger branches (brachiocephalic, common carotid, subclavian, and common iliac), which conduct blood to the muscular arteries.
