  • Chondroclast

    A cell that is concerned with the absorption of cartilage. A giant cell involved in the absorption of cartilage.  

  • Chondroblastoma

    A tumor derived from chondroblasts, having the appearance of a mass of well -differentiated cartilage. A benign neoplasm in which the cells resemble cartilage cells and the tumor appears to be cartilaginous.  

  • Chondrin

    A material that resembles gelatin, produced when cartilage is boiled.  

  • Choluria

    Bile in the urine, which occurs when the level of bile in the blood is raised, especially in obstructive jaundice. The urine becomes dark brown or orange, and bile pigments and bile salts may be detected in it. The existence of pigments from bile in the urine.  

  • Choline theophyllinate

    A drug used to dilate the air passages in asthma and chronic bronchitis. It is administered by mouth and can cause digestive upsets and nausea.

    An analgesic, related to aspirin, that is applied locally to relieve earache, mouth ulcers, and other painful conditions.

    A surgical operation in which the gall bladder is opened, usually to remove gallstones. It is performed only when cholecystectomy would be impracticable or dangerous.

    A form of cholecystenterostomy in which the gall bladder is joined to the stomach. It is rarely performed. Surgical formation of a passage between the gallbladder and the stomach.  

  • Cholecystenterostomy

    A surgical procedure in which the gall bladder is joined to the small intestine. It is performed in order to allow bile to pass from the liver to the intestine when the common bile duct is obstructed by an irremovable cause. Surgical formation of a passage between the gallbladder and the small intestine.  

  • Cholangioma

    A rare tumor originating from the bile duct. A growth originating from the cells of the bile ducts.
