  • Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis

    A disease in which a patient with asthmatic bronchitis develops a hypersensitivity to Aspergillus colonizing (not invading) the airways.

    In one system of taxonomy, a class of the true fungi that includes the genera Histoplasma, Micosporum, Penicillium, and the yeast Saccharomyces . This class is equivalent to the phylum Ascomycotina in another system of taxonomy.
