  • Aneurysmal cough

  • Actinic conjunctivitis

    Conjunctivitis resulting from exposure to ultraviolet (actinic) radiation.  

  • Active congestion

    Congestion resulting from increased blood flow to a part or from dilatation of blood vessels.  

  • Acute confusion

    The abrupt onset of reversible disturbances of consciousness, attention, cognition, and perception that develop over a short period of time.  

  • Activity configuration

    An assessment approach used by occupational therapists to determine an individual’s usual use of time during a typical week. The technique is designed to elicit the person’s perceptions of the nature of daily activities and satisfaction with them.  

  • Airway conductance

    The amount of airflow divided by the amount of pressure that produces it; a measure of the ability of the respiratory airways to maintain airflow.
