Cardiac edema

Accumulation of fluid due to congestive heart failure. It is most apparent in the dependent portion of the body and/or the lungs.

Edema that arises in cases of heart failure, caused by elevated pressure in the veins. This swelling is most pronounced in the body’s lower regions, like the lower limbs and the lower back, where gravity facilitates fluid accumulation.
