Cardiac conduction system

Specialized tissue that carries the nerve impulse for contraction from its origin, in the sinoatrial node, through the atria, to the atrioventricular node. From here it passes through the bundle of His into the ventricles via Purkinje fibers of the left and right bundle branches. Small, terminal Purkinje fibers deliver the stimulus at a cellular level.

System of impulses guiding heart contraction comprised of the sinoatrial node, atrioventricular node, atrioventricular bundle, right atrium, right and left bundle branches, and Purkinje fibers to produce a heart contraction.
