Biophysics

It overlaps with biophysical chemistry, which is more specialized in scope since it is concerned with the physical study of chemically isolated substances found in living organisms.

Science that applies physics to biological problems (e.g., applying the laws of hydraulics to development of an artificial heart).

Application of physical laws to biological processes and functions.

The field of study that encompasses the physical phenomena occurring within living tissues and organisms.
