Aponeurotome
Surgical instrument for cutting an aponeurosis.

Plantar aponeurosia
Sheet of connective tissue investing the muscles of the sole of the foot.

Pharyngeal aponeurosia
Sheet of connective tissue lying between the mucosal and muscular layers of the pharyngeal wall.

Palatine aponeurosia
Connective tissue sheet of the soft palate to which palatal muscles attach.

Connective tissue sheet of the tongue to which lingual muscles attach.

Fibrous membrane connecting the occipital and frontal muscles over the top of the skull.

Apology law
A colloquial term for any legal statute that encourages health care providers to acknowledge and disclose medical errors openly. Although apology laws vary from one jurisdiction to another, most include some measure of legal protection for the individual or agency making the apology.
