Neuroanastomosis
Surgical attachment of one end of a severed nerve to the other end.

Neuroactive
Capable of modifying the activities of nerves or the behavior of organisms. The term is used to describe the actions of many chemicals, drugs, foods, or toxins.

Neuroacanthosis
An autosomal recessive neurological disorder associated with acanthosis of red blood cells beginning between the ages of 25 and 45. It is marked by the development of choreiform movements, oral dystonias, motor and vocal tics, and other neurological abnormalities.

Neuroablation
The destruction or inactivation of nerve tissue, with surgery, cautery, injections of sclerosing agents, lasers, or cryotherapy.

Vestibular neuritis
A condition marked by vertigo, nausea and vomiting, and gait disturbance of relatively acute onset, usually caused by inflammatory processes within the bony labyrinth of the ear.

Toxic neuritis
Neuritis resulting from metallic poisons (e.g., arsenic, mercury, and thallium) or nonmetallic poisons (e.g., various hydrocarbons and organic solvents).

Syphilitic neuritis
Neuritis in locomotor ataxia caused by syphilis.

Sympathetic neuritis
Neuritis of the opposite nerve without attack of the nerve center.

Segmental neuritis
Neuritis affecting segments of a nerve interspersed with healthy segments.

Rheumatic neuritis
Neuritis with symptoms of rheumatism.
