Arnica

A medicinal herb belonging to the sunflower family that is often used in tinctures or creams. Available at health food stores and some pharmacies.


Protected wildflower of Switzerland. Tincture is applied externally for bruises, burns and inflammations.


A perennial herb, Arnica montana, used in ointments and as a homeopathic remedy to promote healing, for pain, inflammation, and bacterial infection.


A flowering plant from which, at one point, an extract was derived for its use as a cardiac stimulant. An alcoholic extract known as “tincture of arnica” was a widely used remedy for treating bruises and sprains. It’s also referred to as “leopard’s bane.”


A healing herb from the sunflower family commonly utilized in tinctures or creams. It can be found at health food stores and certain pharmacies.
