Aldolase deficiency

A mutation in the gene for aldolase that results in an accumulation of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate. Aldolase catalyzes the cleavage of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate.
