Acanthosis

A disease of the prickle cell layer of the skin, where warts appear on the skin or inside the mouth.


Overdevelopment and thickening of the prickle-cell layer of the outer skin, as in psoriasis.


Breakdown or separation of the prickle-cell layer of the epidermis leading to cellular degeneration.


Increased thickness of the prickle cell layer of the skin.


A skin condition that leads to the thickening of the inner or prickle cell layer of the epidermis, and may or may not involve thickening of the outer layer.
