Glenoid cavity

A socket in the shoulder joint into which the head of the humetus fits.


The depression in the scapula into which the head of the humerus fits.


The socket of the shoulder joint: the pear-shaped cavity at the top of the scapula into which the head of the humerus fits.


The cavity in the shoulder blade where the arm bone, or humerus, slots in.


The shallow indentation on the shoulder blade that, along with the head of the upper arm bone, makes up the shoulder joint.
