Dermatitis herpetiformis

A type of dermatitis where large itchy blisters form on the skin.

An intensely itchy skin eruption that is associated with gluten-sensitive enteropathy (a disorder in which the lining of the small intestine is damaged by an allergic reaction to gluten, a protein found in grains such as wheat, rye, and barley). Dermatitis herpetiformis is a chronic skin disease characterized by clusters of papules (small, superficial bumps on the skin) or blisters that occur in a symmetrical pattern on the elbows, knees, buttocks, scalp, and shoulders. Although there are usually no gastrointestinal symptoms, treatment is with a gluten-free diet and medications.

A chronic inflammatory disease characterized by erythematous, papular, vesicular, bullous, or pustular lesions with a tendency to grouping and with intense itching and burning.

A persistent skin condition characterized by intense itching and the formation of clusters of red lesions that may leave residual spots after healing. This condition is occasionally linked to the presence of internal organ cancer.

A persistent skin disorder characterized by the formation of clusters of small, red, and intensely itchy blisters in a symmetrical arrangement, primarily appearing on the back, elbows, knees, buttocks, and scalp. This condition typically manifests in adulthood and is believed to be associated with coeliac disease, a condition in which the lining of the small intestine reacts to gluten found in wheat, rye, and certain other cereals.
