Spasmodic contraction of blood vessels.
A spasm which constricts blood vessels.
Involuntary and abnormal contraction or the muscular layer of a blood vessel, leading to decreased blood flow. Depending on the location, such spasms may lead to lack of oxygen (ischemia) to tissues, causing heart pains (angina) or leg cramps (claudication). Some evidence suggests that smoking crack cocaine leads to either heart attack or stroke because it provokes spasm in either the coronary (heart) or cerebral (brain) arteries.
Sudden, painful, involuntary contraction of the muscles associated with the blood vessels.
Spasmodic contraction of blood vessels; may cause cramping of muscles or intermittent claudication.
