Established in the Executive Office of the Pres¬ ident of the United States was provided with more than one billion dollars by the Congress in 1972 through 1975. The bill gave the director authority to establish a National Institute on Drug Abuse within the National Institute of Mental Health, National Advisory Council for Drug Abuse Prevention, and a National Drug Abuse Training Center.
