Salicylism

A condition caused by the consumption of large doses of aspirin.


The effects of poisoning due to too much salicylic acid. Symptoms include headache, tinnitus; faintness and vomiting.


Poisoning due to an overdose of aspirin or other salicylate-containing compounds. The main symptoms are headache, dizziness, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), disturbances of vision, vomiting, and (in severe cases) deiirium and collapse. There is often severe acidosis.


Intoxication caused by an overdose of salicylic acid or its derivatives.
