Prudent diet

A diet with fat content more than 30%, with a daily intake of not more than 250 mg of cholesterol, protein contributing 15% of the diet, and the rest of the diet in the form of carbohydrates.


A diet designed to protect against heart disease, stroke, and other common diseases; it consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fish, and low-fat dairy products rather than refined or processed foods, red meats, high concentrated sweets , eggs, and butter. A multistep approach decreases fat, cholesterol, and protein.
