Cross tabulation

In research, tabulation of data in terms of two or more variables. For example, respondents’ choices of each of five possible answers to a question are tabulated; the tabulations for each response are then categorized by another variable, such as gender. Results would be displayed in a 2 (male, female) x 5 (the number of possible responses) table with the frequency of responses displayed in each cell.
