Comprehensive health education approach

An approach to health education that provides learning experiences based on the best scientific information in an effort to promote the understanding, attitudes, behavioral skills, and practices of learners with respect to their health. Although the curriculum or program may be made up of individual topics, there is opportunity to show relationships across these topics also implies that the educator is properly trained or certified as a health educator. This is in contrast to the categorical approach in which educators trained or certified in other areas may offer health education programs.
