Biogenic motive

A drive or biological need motivation originating from the need for biological survival, e.g., hunger. In health can be powerful movers toward unhealthful, as well as healthful behavior. The goal, for example, of a hungry personal is to satisfy the hunger drive and may be moved to eat foods detrimental to health. A thirsty person may drink contaminated water to satisfy the thirst drive, motives.
