Made from grating the white flesh of the coconut and mixing with a cup of water.
This luscious liquid is produced from the meat of the coconut and should not be mistaken for the coconut water, the diluted fluid enclosed within a ripe coconut. Coconut milk is extensively employed throughout the Orient and Pacific archipelagos; it is incorporated into curries, utilized for braising fish and vegetables, and consumed (sometimes chilled) with fruit salads and other analogous dishes.
