Marigold

A composite plant with yellow, orange, or maroon flowers.

A type of ornamental flower commonly found in gardens, featuring circular petals with a bright golden or orange hue that can be utilized, albeit sparingly, to introduce a distinctive and pungent taste to salads, stews, and soups. When reduced to a fine powder, the flowers are employed to flavor and add color to a wide range of consumables, including beverages, butter, cheese, cakes, and other such foodstuffs. Marigold can also serve as a replacement for saffron, albeit in twice the amount, as it offers a similar color profile.
