Hyperinsulinism

Excessive secretion of insulin, resulting in hypoglycaemia.

Too much insulin in the blood which lowers the blood sugar level and produces insulin shock.

The reaction of a diabetic to ag excessive dose of insulin or to hypoglycaemia.

Excess of the hormone insulin; abnormal production usually is caused by a tumor (insulinoma) or exogenous administration; may result in hypogycemia (when excess insulin lowers the level of sugar in the blood) or accompany certain forms of diabetes mellitus (when the patient becomes resistant to insulin, and the body produces more in an effort to maintain homeostasis).

Overproduction of insulin by the pancreas.

Excessive secretion of the hormone insulin by the islet cells of the pancreas.

A low blood sugar level resulting from too much insulin.
