Stupor

Marked decrease in reactivity to and awareness of the environment, with reduced spontaneous movements and activity. It can be seen as a type of catatonic behavior in schizophrenia, but it can also be observed in neurological disorders.


A state in which a person does not react to or is unaware of the surroundings. Due to neurological as well as psychiatric disorders. In catatonic stupor, the un-awareness is more apparent than real.


Condition of unconsciousness or lethargy.


A condition characterized by lethargy and unresponsiveness, with partial or complete unconsciousness.


A state of being semiconscious.


A state of unresponsiveness and near unconsciousness, occurring in some neurologic and psychotic disorders.


A condition of near unconsciousness, with apparent mental inactivity and reduced ability to respond to stimulation.


A condition of near-total unconsciousness, where an individual can only be briefly awakened through strong external stimulation.
