The systematized knowledge and theory of human behavior and its motivation, the study of which depends largely on the functional significance of emotion. Psychodynamics recognizes the role of unconscious motivation in human behavior. The science of psychodynamics assumes that one’s behavior is determined by past experience, genetic endowment, and current reality.


In psychoanalytic theory relating to the mental and emotional forces that develop in childhood and their effects on later behavior and mental states.


The study of how the forces which affect human behaviour and mental states work, especially on a subconscious level.
